~ SMALL GROUPS ~

BUILDINGS & GROUNDS: Except for duties contracted out or specifically assigned to the sexton, the building and grounds committee tends to the maintenance and upkeep of buildings and their included equipment such as but not limited to electrical, plumbing and heating. Those duties also apply to the church property around those structures.

FUNDRAISING:

The Fundraising Committee organizes different activities to support St. Peter’s Church. The events include a Market Fair, Harvest Festival, St. Patrick’s Dinner.

EDUCATION:

Christian education is available for all ages at St. Peter's from September - June.

Education includes Church School, Children's Chapel, Adult Education, and Bible Study.

PASTORAL CARE: The Rev. Lorraine Dughi organizes the effort to visit the sick and homebound. Gladys Hughes visits the sick in the Belleville area. Along with the Rev. Peter De Franco, they address different needs that arise among the members of the parish as they deal with death, sickness, conflict and loss.

EVANGELISM:

This committee serves to provide updates to the community via internet and local papers. Currently we provide information through our website and Facebook.

WELCOME COMMITTEE: As new members visit St. Peter’s Church, existing members of St. Peter’s Church greet them at Sunday worship and assist them in their entry into the parish. New members receive a welcome bag and are invited to join the parish in its various activities.

FELLOWSHIP: The Parish calendar is always filled with plenty of opportunities to enjoy each others' company through weekly Coffee Hours, four monthly movie series, quarterly Potlucks, and other special events such as the annual Pancake Supper and Mothering Sunday.

WORSHIP: The worship of the community organizes and plans the worship of the community. As the seasons of the church year are celebrated, this committee looks at old and new ways to enhance the prayer experience of the community.
